This email should be a meeting!
Oh my god let’s book a room now
or maybe two, just in case.
Lots of chairs so everyone
can get comfy.
Grab a good stretch of time,
get some snacks – before I forget,
next door has a donut promotion.
The entire team is invited, heck,
the whole floor should come!
Physical meeting only please,
no dial-ins! Switch off the servers
to be sure, and wait for the field team
to drive in. Ask Maintenance
to run the AC all night long.
To business then: let’s make
every line from this email
an agenda item in its own right.
Allocate oh an hour each –
yes that sounds the best!
While we’re at it, why so many emails
My inbox is overflowing –
these should ALL be meetings!
We’ve got to be more disciplined,
set the right tone – these things matter.
Why else do we pay rent, if not to
make full use of our meeting spaces?
We must focus on the Big Picture –
add this topic to the agenda!
