Poems
by Bob Carlton

“the thick mist...”

the thick mist

of forgetfulness

hovers over

my day

while the grackles

make a Mozart

on the backyard

power lines

a line, (a short one)

“intent/cannot be...”

intent

cannot be

inferred

through pain

merely

a line, (a short one)

Schism

the problem is not

the Word of God

the problem is in

the Ear of Man

a line, (a short one)

Terroir

she stomped my heart

like a champagne grape

now she has my heart

felt thanks

a black line
