Writing
by Cendrine Marrouat

Inspiration comes in manifold ways.
I wrote wonderful poems staring at walls;
I penned painfully charged messages
While sleepless nights took their toll.
Music escorted me until my hands hurt
And silence found me empowered.

Writing always takes one by surprise.
Writing never gets tired of itself.
Writing makes one’s heart breathe again.

The words we use define who we are.
The sentences we make reveal our scars.
Let not the ones who judge your art
Make you change what you really feel.
You are the only one who will ever know.

One day, they will revere your name.
One day, they will understand your flame.

Let your writing flow.
Let your spirit grow.
