Shards of a Thought
Faith shouldnt need to be loud
like a stranger gingerly tapping
on my car window
to tell me about Jesus
while shattering whatever thought
I was lost in,
but faith ought to be soft,
as if it was a smiling angel
taking someones hand as they die,
just before damning them to hell.

Cosmic Streetlights
Waiting for Charles Bukowski
to write me, but its not for anything
poetic or literary. However, I want proof
that theres a god up there,
whos short enough to need a ladder
to change the cosmic streetlights,
where souls fly around like mayflies,
refusing still to believe
how short their lives were.

Just Slow Enough
Too often we believe in ourselves
being like the ocean,
pushing around others and objects,
but were really drops of rain
falling from the sky
just slow enough to ponder
if were gods tears
or a typical result
from a nimbostratus cloud.
