Two poems by KJ Hannah Greenberg.

Passing Thoughts (A Carol)

My passing thoughts linger, frame you

Love’s snapshots flicker in review.

Your equation’s call abided,

Certain others get divided,

By Ergo’s links, lull’s quieted,

Sums’ mutuality’s construed.

Heart-spots flourish, occasions find,

Voices’ rub simple, speeches bind,

Miles rules, but thoughts entwine,

A whisper joins us, bridges two.

My passing thoughts linger, frame you

Love’s snapshots flicker in review.

Across plateaus our words did dance,

Now fused by sight, motes spurred romance,

Your nod, your smile, your special glance,

Animate, give phonemes their due.

Distance jumped, our fingers touch,

They link, they hold, they reach to clutch,

We grope, we grab, we “talk” as such,

Grand moments these, our pair’s renewed

My passing thoughts linger, frame you

Love’s snapshots flicker in review.

Great Veils of Regret (A Byr a Thoddice)

Great veils of regret drape my sight,

Fear palls me, so afraid you might

View my mantle. I know that bright ways,

Illustrious days, legends, are your preferred cape.

Yet, should happiness’ fabric cinch me,

I would grow less radiant. See,

Although this gown glistens, such plumage,

Bars my vision, burns a nub scarcely risen.
