I don't want to live

Enough

Enough to stop stop drinking

Day to day

Two day binges

Ignoring the kidney and the head pains

I don't want to live enough to stop that

 

I don't want to live

Enough

Enough to stop smoking

Those bastard little things

That promise so much

Only to give bad breath and bad health

I don't want to live enough to stop that

 

I don't want to live

Enough

Enough to stop taking drugs

The ones that I hate but love

That make me lie rigid at night

Exposing my degeneracy to my wife

I don't want to live enough to stop that

 

I live

To wake up the next day

To nurture my addictions

To hope that I will change

But I know

I will never change

And that really I don't want to live

Enough
